Good value with early bird

I was looking to check out tiny homes without breaking the bank, so I kept an eye out for discounts. I snagged an early bird General Admission Festival Pass for the Arizona event, which saved me a good chunk of money, I think it was like 30% off the gate price. That made the whole experience feel really worth it. The ticket price felt fair for how much there was to see and do. I spent most of my time at the Sustainable Living Exhibits. Definitely recommend getting tickets ahead of time if you want to save some cash.

Great event, smooth process

I ordered the VIP Experience Pass for the Denver TinyFest event. The website was easy to navigate and I found all the details I needed about the different pass options. Ordering was straightforward, and I received my confirmation email instantly. Delivery of the actual pass was digital, which is always convenient. At the event, the VIP access was clearly marked, and check-in was quick. The Tiny Home Tours were fantastic, and having dedicated VIP entry meant less waiting around. I also attended a couple of the Nomad Living Seminars, which were informative. The overall quality of the event content and organization was high. I especially appreciated the clear signage and helpful staff when I had a question about the Skoolie Tours. No issues at all, a well-run festival.

Mostly positive, one minor thing

My experience with TinyFest for the Oregon event was largely positive. I purchased a General Admission Festival Pass. The ordering process online was smooth, and I received my digital ticket promptly. The event itself had a great variety of tiny homes and I found the Speaker Sessions quite engaging. However, I did notice that some of the Vendor Booths were a bit spread out, making it a little tiring to navigate if you wanted to see everything. Customer service was helpful when I asked about parking, so that was good. Overall, a solid event with lots of value, just a bit of a trek between certain areas.

Reliable and consistent

This was my third TinyFest. I went to the California one last year and the Texas event the year before. I always get the General Admission pass. What I really like is how consistent they are. Each event has a good mix of tiny homes, workshops, and vendors. I bought the General Admission Festival Pass for the upcoming Florida event this time, and the booking process was just as easy as the previous times. I know what to expect – well-organized, friendly atmosphere, and plenty of interesting stuff to see. It's why I keep coming back, always a solid experience.

Are there ever any deals on tickets for these events? Like a promo code or something, before I just buy them full price?

F Faith 3 weeks ago
Definitely look for early bird tickets! They save you a bunch, usually like 20-40% off. They sell out fast though.

I've gotten a student discount before, and I think they do military too. Check their site, but don't expect discounts at the gate, those are usually online only.

Hey, I'm thinking about volunteering to get free entry. Anyone done that before? Is it super hard to get a spot?

N Neil E. 1 month ago
I volunteered at the one in Arizona last year, it was pretty chill. Helped with setup for a few hours then got to enjoy the rest of the day. Not super hard to get in if you apply early.

My friend did it. Said it was easy, just make sure you're cool with whatever tasks they give you. Good way to save money and meet people!

Can I bring my dog to the festival? I don't wanna leave him home all day.

C Colin 2 weeks ago
I'm pretty sure most of them are dog friendly! Mine came last year. Just make sure they're on a leash and you clean up after them.

Afaik, yeah, they usually allow well-behaved dogs. It's an outdoor event so makes sense. Check the specific event page for any special rules though.

how does TinyFest compare to the Great American Tiny House Show? I've been to that one, wondering if TinyFest is worth checking out too.

T Todd Bennett 1 week ago
I've done both! TinyFest often feels a bit more community-focused, with more workshops and speaker sessions on actual living the lifestyle, not just admiring houses. Great American is good for just seeing houses.

Depends on the location, honestly. Some TinyFests are huge, some are smaller. I'd say the vibe is a little different, more emphasis on the 'nomad' aspect at TinyFest usually.

Thinking of going to one of these festivals. Are the tiny homes actually open to walk through or is it just like, looking at them from outside?

P Priya Romero 2 weeks ago
Yeah, you can totally go inside most of them! That's half the fun. Some might have a line but it moves pretty quick usually.

They usually have a bunch of different ones you can tour, from like super custom builds to more affordable DIY stuff. It's cool to get ideas.
